McMaster University invites qualified bidders to submit responses for the supply of one (1) 5 Axis CNC Training Mill in accordance with the terms of this Request for Proposals.
The 5 Axis CNC Training Mill will play a crucial role in expanding McMaster’s CNC training ability in the area of 5 axis machining. We are looking to support the local aerospace, auto/truck, construction/agriculture, oil/gas, power, mold/die and motor production industries’ need for highly trained 5 Axis machinists. In addition, McMaster is actively involved in tool and machine technology development for difficult to cut materials that require large format machines with complex tool and workpiece engagements to improve tool performance, productivity, cost, final product quality and support product/service innovation. Technology demonstrations and training are critical elements of rolling out our 5 Axis technology to our industry partners.
Pricing of the 5 Axis CNC Training Mill must include a minimum of one (1) year standard manufacturer’s warranty and on-site service including all parts and labour from the effective date of electrical connection. Bidder to provide optional warranty of an additional five (5) years with an option to renew on a yearly basis as required, at McMaster’s sole discretion.
