Description

Minimum Essential Requirements

To evaluate a fabric's permeability, breathability and heat loss from sweat evaporation, GBC requires a sweating guarded hotplate, which measures the thermal properties and water vapor resistance of fabrics and other materials under steady state conditions. Often referred to as the “skin model”, it is intended to simulate the heat and mass transfer processes which occur next to the surface of the skin
