Description

Centennial College, is seeking to retain an Engineering lead Prime Consulting team for the Miscellaneous Mechanical Upgrades of Projects that will take place over the following campuses:

Ashtonbee Campus;

Located at 75 Ashtonbee Rd., Toronto, ON, M1L 4N4. Ashtonbee is home to the School of Transportation and is one of the largest automotive and aircraft technology training centres in Canada.

Morningside Campus;

Located at 755 Morningside Ave., Toronto, ON, M1C 5J9. It is nestled in the Rouge Valley Conservation Area, the Morningside Campus is an environmentally friendly building home to the School of Health Studies, as well as selected Engineering Technology and Applied Science programs.

Story Arts Centre Campus;

Located at 951 Carlaw Ave., Toronto, ON, M4K 3M2.The $36-million cutting-edge campus for the arts houses the School of Communications, Media, Arts and Design.

Progress Campus – A Block and E Block

Located at 941 Progress Ave., Toronto, ON, M1G 3T8. Progress is home to the Schools of Business and Hospitality, Tourism and Culture. Here you’ll also find Advanced Manufacturing and Automation Engineering Technology programs, as well as many Child Studies and Community Service programs.
Various studies have been conducted by IXL Technical Inc. over the past year and made available to you in Appendices D,E,F and G.
The objectives of the Miscellaneous Mechanical Upgrade Projects are to review all available project material, with the project stakeholders, and implement a comprehensive design and tender documents for implementation. It is intended that the construction will be implemented through a Construction Management Contract (CCDC 5B) and therefore the Prime Consultant Team will be required to issue sequential tender packages throughout the project.
Funding is available over a three-year capital plan for improvements. The Successful Proponent will be required to review this plan and put forth recommendations for construction based on the operational risk and available budget. The Prime Consultant must consider elements in this strategy which would not be limited to, immediate risks, the College’s capital planning requirements, strategic goals, budget and operational requirements.
