Description

The purpose is for Centennial College to procure a Prime Consultant to design and select a new domestic hot water
boiler system and a backup system for contingency if the new boiler goes out of service for an extended duration of
time. The existing boiler to be decommissioned and demolished.

The existing boiler was installed in 2007 as a supplementary boiler to the heat exchanger in the domestic water tank
supplied by the boiler loop in the winter and an electric heating coil in the summer. Both of which have since been
removed. This boiler then became the main source of heat for the domestic tank, which it was originally not designed to be do and has been overloaded ever since.
