Carleton University (the “University”) intends to award a single source contract to Nikon Canada Inc., Mississauga, ON, Canada to purchase an inverted microscope for fluorescence, brightfield, darkfield and confocal imaging for the purpose of obtaining serial scans of whole brain tissue in three-dimensions and imaging subcellular brain structures in vitro.
This is an advanced Notice indicating to the supplier community that the University intends to award a contract for these goods to a pre-identified supplier. Suppliers who consider their services/equipment fully compliant and readily available may submit a Statement of Capabilities, in writing, to the contact person identified in this Notice on or before the closing date.
If no other supplier submits a Statement of Capabilities that at a minimum, equals or exceeds the stated requirements set out in this Notice, the competitive requirements of the University are considered to have been met.
The Statement of Capabilities must unequivocally demonstrate how the supplier meets these advertised requirements.
Following notification to any suppliers not successful in demonstrating that their Statement of Capabilities meets the requirements set out in this Notice, the contract may be awarded to the pre-identified supplier.
