Restoration of Limestone Surfaces
The Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport Authority (OMCIAA) is soliciting Proposals from qualified firms interested in providing a full range of services in respect of the Restoration of Limestone Surfaces in the Passenger Terminal Building.
The restoration of limestone can be broken down into three main categories:
Food Court: Oil based – grease, cooking oil, food condiments
Organic – coffee, tea, cosmetics
Water Features: Biological – algae, mildew, water deposits, efflorescence
Anatomical: Oil from human hair and skin
Note that strong odour chemicals are not to be used as they are prohibited in public spaces for health reasons. No harsh cleaning chemicals are to be used as they may alter the composition of the limestone surfaces (pitted). The hours of work for the restoration of limestone are between 22:00 hours and 05:30 hours and may be executed any of the seven days of the week.
A mandatory site visit will be held December 13, 2017 at the Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport.
Sealed submissions will be received until no later than 14:00:00 hours (local time) on or before January 4, 2018.
