This Notice of Intended Procurement is issued by Ontario Pension Board (“OPB”) for procurements covered by the Canadian Free Trade Agreement to provide summary information in relation to specific procurement, as detailed below.

2. Description of Procurement
OPB plans to issue a Request for Supplier Pre-Qualifications (RFSQ) to prequalify five (5) General Contractors for an upcoming office renovation at 200 King Street West, Toronto.
3. Time-Frame for Delivery, Duration of Contract and Extension Options
Overall work will happen on four (4) floors and OPB anticipates majority of the work will happen on two (2) floors, the start date is in August 2020 and renovation must be completed in December 2020.

5. How to Obtain Relevant Documents
OPB anticipates posting the RFSQ on electronic Canadian public tendering systems (MERX and Biddingo) during week of February 3, 2020. Interested suppliers are encouraged to monitor Canadian public electronic tendering systems for the formal posting of the RFSQ and are asked not to contact OPB for posting information.
6. Language of Submissions
Unless otherwise indicated, all submissions shall be in English only.
7. Submission Deadline Date and Time
The submission deadline for this solicitation is thirty (30) calendar days from the RFSQ posting date.

11. Procurement Method
This procurement process is a two (2) stage process and this RFSQ is the first stage to prequalify General Contractors. Only General Contractors that have been prequalified through the RFSQ process will be eligible to submit a proposal for the second stage competitive process.

Refer to Section 12 of the attached RFSQ document for rated criteria categories, weightings and minimum thresholds of the RFSQ evaluation.
