Notice of upcoming RFP Release by Ontario Pension Board for Independent Board Advisor Services.
Ontario Pension Board (OPB) gives advance notification that it intends to initiate a non-binding Request for Proposal (RFP) process for the selection of an Independent Board Advisor to support OPB needs in its Pension Modernization Program (the “Program”).
OPB intends to enter into a four (4) year agreement with the option to extend for two (2) periods of up to one (1) year each. The selected independent board advisor will provide services for one (1) Program with various components. Professional service hours are anticipated to be in the range of 300-600 per year and may be adjusted based on final Program design. It is anticipated the agreement will be awarded in June 2018. The RFP process includes a consecutive negotiation process. Proponents shall submit proposals in English to OPB at 200 King St. West, Suite 2200, Toronto, ON, M5H 3X6 by the submission deadline as published in the RFP document. There will be no public opening for this RFP.
OPB anticipates posting the RFP on electronic Canadian public tendering systems (MERX and Biddingo) in April 2018 with a thirty-five (35) calendar day posting period. Interested suppliers are encouraged to monitor Canadian public electronic tendering systems for the formal posting of the RFP and are asked not to contact OPB for posting information.
The procurement is subject to Chapter Five – Government Procurement of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (“CFTA”) and Chapter Nineteen – Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (“CETA”).
The posting date and time are subject to change at the sole and absolute discretion of OPB.
