The ONTC is seeking responses from qualified commercial real estate brokerage companies that have the experience, qualifications and skills to assist the ONTC to dispose (through sale or lease) of surplus property owned by the ONTC, including one (1) commercial office building, three (3) shops/station buildings and initially over 100 surplus rail and telecom sites and two (2) commercial office spaces situate in urban and rural areas of the Districts of Nipissing, Timiskaming and Cochrane, in the Province of Ontario.
The Successful Respondent will be required to provide professional real estate services that may include listing/marketing services only, to full real estate brokerage services as ONTC’s (seller or lessor) agent. Services may include:
- Developing a marketing strategy, including but not limited to diversity of media, degree of exposure and timeline with respect to a particular property or multiple properties (e.g. multiple parcels of vacant land in the same geographic area);
- Advertising and promoting the property in appropriate methods and media (e.g. signage, television, newspaper, internet etc.) to provide maximum exposure in the area and outside region;
- Analyzing and evaluating offers for purchase or lease and advise on offers;
- Leading negotiations of the sale or lease and preparing related documentation, including but not limited to the sale of commercial office buildings and the lease of commercial office space;
- Providing written reports as required by ONTC (on a regular schedule in an agreed-to format);
- Facilitating buyer’s or lessee’s inspections;
- Other value-added services on an as-needed basis.
