Testing and Quality Assurance (QA) are recognized by OLG as critical functions to ensure that business systems and infrastructure provide the functionality, performance and stability required by the organization. OLG currently employs professional staff in various testing roles. These roles span the entire test lifecycle from test planning through development and implementation. In addition to OLG in-house professional staff, the corporation uses OLG and Provincial vehicles to engage technical resources to perform a range of development activities including testing-related tasks.
Recent and planned initiatives within OLG to renew, replace and add major business systems and infrastructures will result in a significant demand for Testing and QA services. OLG recognizes the need for additional testing and quality assurance expertise, products and services to supplement our internal Testing/QA.
With this RFP OLG is looking to establish a Vendor of Record (VOR) roster of companies that can understand our products/projects and rapidly integrate into our existing Testing/QA environment.
The successful Respondent(s) would be able to provide a complete breadth of Testing and QA services to OLG from a fully managed testing team to a staff augmentation scenario that would require a few individuals. These resources would not only plan, script and execute test cases, but also provide QA improvements and advice on areas that needed more testing focus. The optimum approach to complement internal staff and best serve the needs of OLG is to request specific Testing and QA Managed service on an as and when required basis, through this RFP.
Currently, the OLG Testing Services resources support the major business and infrastructure areas within OLG including, but not limited to:
- Lottery, Gaming & Charitable Gaming
- iGaming Applications
- Corporate Services
- Technical Infrastructure
- Business Intelligence (BI)
- Web applications
- Mobile applications
The term with the Successful Respondent(s) will be for a period of three years with an option to extend for two additional 2-year terms, at OLG’s sole discretion.
