Project Background
Given the multigenerational energy transition now taking place across the province, the country and indeed the entire globe, the Ontario Energy Board's (OEB's) leadership role as the independent regulator of Ontario's electricity and natural gas sectors has never been more important. When coupled with continued attainment of our strategic goals and operational objectives - Evolve toward becoming a top quartile regulator, Protect the public, Drive energy sector performance and Facilitate innovation - the OEB must be able to receive, and distribute internally, sector and regulatory-related information. More specifically, media monitoring, daily clippings and newswire distribution services are required to effectively manage reputational risk and respond to any crisis situations, tell our story, and elevate the OEB brand through thought leadership, understand industry/sector trends, measure communication effectiveness and generate ideas for new content of our own.
Purpose and Objectives
OEB Public Affairs wishes to retain a vendor to provide media monitoring, clippings, and distribution services for a period of two years. The electronic monitoring of media coverage and distribution of OEB content is crucial to keep the OEB abreast of daily news about the energy sector and of other regulatory agencies while promoting, where appropriate to do so, its own work.
