RFPOEBDEPI06212021 - Digital Engagement Platform Implementation

The development of a digital engagement platform is a critical element of the OEB’s go-forward approach, responding to a range of recommendations from internal and external sources raising a need for the OEB’s non-adjudicative policies to be developed through accessible, transparent and inclusive consultation processes.  The consultation processes would involve a range of stakeholders depending on the subject matter, from specific energy sector partners and entities with familiarity of the OEB to a range of groups representing the general public.

The introduction and delivery of a digital engagement platform serves to create a single online repository that summarizes and supports the execution of all current policy work before the OEB from ideation to consultation progress to conclusions and actions to be taken. The digital engagement platform further supports efforts to ensure programs and activities are aligned with OEB priorities and deliver on mandated goals to enhance public trust, promote transparency and accountability in decision-making, reduce regulatory burden and deliver value for money for the people of Ontario while maintaining the integrity of the independent adjudicative process.

The OEB would like to launch the Digital Engagement Platform on November 30, 2021.
