Description

The Canadian Museum of History opened in 1989. The building is situated at 100 Laurier St, in Gatineau, (Que). The Canadian Children’s Museum opened in that same year and has expanded twice since then, first in 1994 and again in 2007. The current square footage of the Children’s Museum is approximately 14,000 sq. ft.
The Canadian Children’s Museum (CCM) has been providing children and families with play-based learning experiences for the past 29 years. However, since the CCM was originally conceived and developed much has changed. The Museum is thus planning to renovate and possibly expand the existing CCM. The exhibition team is currently working on developing a fresh concept that will examine and evaluate; play and family learning frameworks, inclusivity and accessibility, current footprint and layout challenges in order to revitalize the experience for our audiences.

A ‘’mandatory” site visit will be held on May 30th, 2018 at 10:00 am in order that proponents fully satisfy themselves with regards to the scope of work and existing site conditions.
Proponents shall report to the Security Office of the Canadian Museum of History located on the main floor at 100 Laurier Street Gatineau, Quebec.
Proponents MUST attend the visit and sign the SIGN IN SHEET at the security desk to be eligible to submit a proposal. In addition, please provide a business card. Proponents must be present no later than 10:00 am to be eligible to attend the mandatory site visit.

No questions will be answered during the mandatory site visit.
