Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Support and management of Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure

The Museum is seeking Proposals from potential firms who have managerial and technical experience in providing services for “Support and management of Information Technology Infrastructure” at the Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau (Québec) and at the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa, (Ontario) Canada. This is a one-step two-envelope submission process (Technical and Financial) to select the highest ranked Proponent who may then be invited to negotiate or to enter into a Contract with the Museum.

The selected Proponent will be required to deliver the Services described in the procurement documents including, but not limited to, the following disciplines:

Infrastructure support for physical and virtual servers;
Support of storage infrastructure and backup copies, business continuity and disaster recovery;
Support for local area network (wired and wireless), extended and perimeter devices;
Support of the telephony infrastructure;
Support of the printing infrastructure;
Support of the cybersecurity infrastructure (antivirus, management of spam filtering, monitoring of network traffic, management of certificates, support of the DNS platform);
Provide the services of a “Help Desk” call center;
Provide on-site IT support service (including asset management, application deployment, device deployment, etc.);
Provide IT support service to events;
Provide support services for a Microsoft / Active Directory infrastructure in a hybrid environment context (use of Office 365);
Provide monitoring services for all elements of the infrastructure

To be considered, Proposals must be received before the Closing Date and Time noted in the MERX ad through the MERX Electronic Bid Submission System. Refer to the Instructions to Proponents for all associated details.

Information provided by the Proponents will be evaluated using the established criteria in the RFP. The criteria relate to previous achievements and experience, as well as technical and managerial expertise.

The Security Requirements for this project are identified in the RFP documents.

It is anticipated that the contract will be in place for a duration of two (2) years from the date of award. If mutually agreeable between the selected Proponent and the Museum, this Contract may be extended for up to five (5) additional one-year period with the same terms and conditions. Refer to the procurement documents for further details.

Firms that consider themselves qualified to provide these services are invited to submit their Proposals on the forms that are available through MERX or as directed in the procurement documents.

The Museum retains the right to negotiate with the Proponents on any aspect of the procurement.

Proposals may be submitted in either official language of Canada.

Proponents can obtain the award result once posted on MERX.
