Request for Prequalification (RFPQ) to establish a Standing Offer (SO) for EXHIBITRY FABRICATION SERVICES

The Museum is seeking Proposals from potential firms who have experience in the production, fabrication, modification, installation and dismantling of exhibit furniture, various furnishing, and structures, as well as to provide onsite maintenance of furniture exhibitry within the Museums.. This is a one-step two-envelope submission process (Technical and Financial) to select the overall highest ranked Proponent who may then be invited to be included on a Standing Offer (SO) for eventual work required either at the Canadian Museum of History (CMH) building, located at 100 Laurier, Gatineau, Quebec, or the Canadian War Museum (CWM) located at 1, Vimy Place, Ottawa, Ontario.

The objective of this RFPQ is to prequalify one (1) Contractor who will be placed on an SO to provide services on an “as and when required” basis for a period of two (2) years from the date of establishment.

If mutually agreeable between the Contractor and the Museum, this SO may be extended for up to two (2) additional two-year periods and one (1) additional one-year period with the same terms and conditions.

The selected Contractor will be required to deliver the Services described in the procurement documents.

To be considered, Proposals must be received before the Closing Date and Time noted in the MERX ad through the MERX Electronic Bid Submission System. Refer to the Instructions to Proponents for all associated details.

Information provided by the Proponents will be evaluated using the established criteria in the RFPQ. The criteria relate to previous achievements and experience, as well as technical and managerial expertise.

Firms that consider themselves qualified to provide these services are invited to submit their Proposals on the forms that are available through MERX or as directed in the procurement documents.

The Museum retains the right to negotiate with the Proponents on any aspect of the procurement.

Proposals may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
