Description

Mitacs is at an exciting juncture in its growth—with significant new federal funding for the next five years and a brand-new strategic plan. We are soliciting proposals from experienced, full-service design and branding agencies to evaluate the current Mitacs brand, provide strategy, recommendations, and creative executions for a rebrand or refresh. Of particular importance is an agency with strong change management acumen, expertise in brand and marketing, and innovative design capabilities for the development and implementation of an engaging brand experience that will transform internal and external perceptions and engagement with Mitacs. We are seeking an experienced team of strategists and creatives to take us through a brand strategy exercise that will support the strategic objectives of:

Aligning the brand with the new strategic plan and ambitions of the organization
Increasing the organization’s profile and ability to resonate with existing and expanded market
Determining the equity of name “Mitacs” and providing renaming considerations/strategies
Elevating the sophistication of the visual style and brand narrative to claim space beyond our current imagination
Providing operational and change management support to effectively implement the new strategy (transition from existing to ideal state)
Developing creative executions and support to create or update existing branded collateral, corporate and employee communications, sales and marketing, etc.

Additional Bidding Instructions

Only qualified firms and organizations with prior experience on this type of project should submit a proposal in response to this RFP.
Bidders intending to submit a proposal should so notify Mitacs via MERX or directly to jwallace@mitacs.ca no later than the date specified in section IV.
Proposals must be signed by a representative that is authorized to commit bidder’s company, and identify the company name, address, email address, and phone number.
Proposals must remain valid for a period of 180 days.

A proposal must include the following completed mandatory submission forms:

Appendix B-submission form
- Each proposal should include the submission form completed and signed by an authorized representative of the bidder.
Appendix C-rate bid form
- Each bidder should include the form according to the instructions contained in the form.
- Rates should be provided in Canadian funds, inclusive of all applicable taxes except for HST or GST, which should be itemized separately.
- Rates quoted by the bidder should be all-inclusive and shall include all labour and material costs, and all other overhead, including any fees or other charges required by law.
Appendix D-reference form
- Each bidder must complete the reference form and include it with their proposal.
