Eagle’s Nest is a Women’s Shelter located on Mînî Thnî (formerly Morley) within Stoney 142/143/144 Indian reserve in southern Alberta, Canada, accessed west from Alberta 133x.
The existing two-storey wood-frame building is understood to be built in 1996, with previous renovations occurring in the 2010’s. The building consists of 5 existing Client rooms with supporting staff rooms, and interior and exterior Client amenity spaces, including site improvements.
The project consists of partial renovation and a building addition of approximately 380m2 gross floor area spanning over two floors. The scope of work includes 11 Client rooms with subsidiary service and amenity spaces between both levels, and staff support spaces.
The project will be phased to permit ongoing use and occupancy by staff and Clients during the initial phase of construction of the addition. Phasing plans will be supplied in the Contract Documents. Bids submitted will be required to supply a construction schedule that incorporates project phasing.
