"PCL/ED, a Joint Venture, acting as the Construction Manager (CM) for the Centre Block Rehabilitation Project, requests quotation from conservators, including those who have previously submitted expressions of interest.
The Work outlined in the drawings and specifications has been further defined by Part B "Scope of Work".
Bidders should submit a technical and financial proposal to supply Doors and Metal Windows Conservator / Materials Specialist services to assist the Construction Management and Consultant Teams with a programme of the Centre Block Rehabilitation Project.
The scope of work for doors and windows at the Centre Block building comprises of doors and metal (steel/bronze) windows set in masonry surrounds as well as planning, design, and production of new doors and steel/bronze framed windows. As part of the project, we require the services of a specialist in the conservation, restoration, and rehabilitation of historic doors and windows. Experience and knowledge of the fabrication of new doors and metal windows and historical reproductions suitable for use in rehabilitated heritage buildings, with new functional requirements, is also required.
The Successful Bidder will be responsible for assessing and analyzing existing conditions, as well as providing recommendations for interventions, as required.
The Successful Bidder must provide Design-Assist-Oversight services, participate in Project meetings and workshops, provide build-ability and constructability advice, define and manage Work and design phasing and sequencing in accordance with the project milestones and construction budget."
