"PCL/ED, a Joint Venture, acting as the Construction Manager (CM) for the Centre Block Rehabilitation Project, requests quotation from conservators, including those who have previously submitted expressions of interest.
The Work outlined in the drawings and specifications has been further defined by Part B "Scope of Work".
Bidders should submit a technical and financial proposal to supply Decorative Plaster Conservator / Materials Specialist services to assist the Construction Management and Consultant Teams with a programme of the Centre Block Rehabilitation Project.
The scope of plasterwork at the Centre Block building comprises early 20th Century gypsum / cement plaster, ornamental cast work as well as run-in-place mouldings and flatwork. We require the service of a specialist in the conservation, restoration, and rehabilitation of historic plasterwork, especially decorative. Experience and knowledge of the fabrication of new cast plaster ornament and moulding, as well as historical reproductions suitable for use in rehabilitated heritage buildings is also required.
The Successful Bidder will be responsible for assessing and analyzing existing conditions, as well as providing recommendations for interventions, as required.
The Successful Bidder must provide Design-Assist-Oversight services, participate in Project meetings and workshops, provide build-ability and constructability advice, define and manage Work and design phasing and sequencing in accordance with the project milestones and construction budget. "
