"PCL/ED, a Joint Venture, acting as the Construction Manager (CM) for the Centre Block Rehabilitation Project, requests quotation from conservators, including those who have previously submitted expressions of interest.
The Work outlined in the drawings and specifications has been further defined by Part B "Scope of Work".
Bidders should submit a technical and financial proposal to supply Cabinet Maker / Fine Woodwork Conservator / Materials Specialist services to assist the Construction Management and Consultant Teams with a programme of the Centre Block Rehabilitation Project.
The scope of fine woodwork at the Centre Block building comprises fine millwork, joinery, architectural cabinetry, paneling and wainscoting, repetitive ornament, and fine carving. As part of the Centre Block Rehabilitation Project, we require the service of a specialist in the conservation, restoration, and rehabilitation of historic fine architectural woodwork. Experience and knowledge of the fabrication of new woodwork and historical reproductions suitable for use in rehabilitated heritage buildings is also required.
The Successful Bidder will be responsible for assessing and analyzing existing conditions, as well as providing recommendations for interventions, as required.
The Successful Bidder must provide Design-Assist-Oversight services, participate in Project meetings and workshops, provide build-ability and constructability advice, define and manage Work and design phasing and sequencing in accordance with the project milestones and construction budget."
