1042 - Architectural Metalwork Conservator / Materials Specialist - Investigations

PCL/ED, a Joint Venture, acting as the Construction Manager (CM) for the Centre Block Rehabilitation Project, requests quotation from previously prequalified Bidders for the Work outlined in this Tender Package.  

Bidders should submit a technical and financial proposal to supply Architectural Metalwork Conservator / Materials Specialist services to assist the Construction Management and Consultant Teams with a programme of Investigations.  The Successful Bidder will be responsible for assessing and analyzing existing conditions, as well as providing recommendations for interventions, as required.

The scope of heritage metalwork at the Centre Block building comprises of various metals in a range of metals, including: doors, grilles, canopies, sconces and other decorative elements. As part of a comprehensive investigations programme we require the services of a specialist in the conservation, restoration and rehabilitation of historic architectural metalwork.  Experience and knowledge of the fabrication of new metalwork and historical reproductions suitable for use in rehabilitated heritage buildings is also required.
