Construction of 5 Infill Homes, Winnipeg, Manitoba
Housing Opportunity Partnership is a non-profit organization that is committed to responsible community revitalization through strengthening home ownership opportunities for low to moderate income earners. Housing Opportunity Partnership (herein referred to as HOP) is looking to add another five affordable infill homes to its long list of developments.
HOP has retained Winnipeg Housing Rehabilitation Corporation (WHRC) as the Development Consultant for the development of these homes. Winnipeg Housing will be the primary point of contact for this project.
Project Description: The project consists of the construction of 5 single family infill homes. The homes are approximately 1100 sf, 2 storey plus unfinished basement. All homes are to be constructed to Power Smart for New Home requirements and obtain Power Smart certification upon completion. The infill homes are to be constructed at the following locations; 624 Magnus Avenue, 239 Manitoba Avenue, 365 Manitoba Avenue, 551 Manitoba Avenue, and 273 Pritchard Avenue, located in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Timeline for Construction: Construction is expected to commence Spring 2019 and be completed by January 2020.
Bidding Process: Tender Documents will be available electronically beginning October 10, 2018 from the office of Winnipeg Housing Rehabilitation Corporation upon receipt of the following documentation:
- Certificate of Insurance showing proof of the following coverage:
- General Liability - limits of not less than $2,000,000 per occurrence and with a property damage deductible not exceeding $2500.
- Proof of CORTM or SECORTM registration
- Proof of registration with a recognized Home Warranty Program.
- WCB Clearance Letter showing company bidding is currently in good standing
Tender documents should be requested via email to Stephanie Haight, Director of Development and Construction, at shaight@whrc.ca. If the above requested documents can’t be provided in a timely manner to allow adequate time for bidding, the Bidder can pay a non-refundable deposit of $100.00 payable to Housing Opportunity Partnership to receive the tender documents. Tender results will be closed and not made public. The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.
Submission of Bids: Sealed bids clearly marked as to contents shall be hand delivered to the office of the Consultant, Winnipeg Housing Rehabilitation Corporation, 60 Frances Street, Winnipeg, MB before 3:00:00 pm, local time, Wednesday, October 31, 2018. Winnipeg Housing Rehabilitation Corporation is open Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (closed between 12 p.m. and 1 p.m.)
