The Workers Compensation Board of Manitoba (WCB) invites firms to submit a Proposal for the following: A Cisco Gold Certified organization to provide hardware and software including maintenance, consulting, and implementation services for Cisco Compute and networking technologies.
Description of Services:
The WCB wishes to retain a single Cisco Gold Certified organization as the Contractor to provide hardware and software including maintenance, consulting, and implementation services for Cisco Compute and networking technologies.
The WCB has an annual hardware and software maintenance renewal for all Cisco equipment. The WCB's support is directly with Cisco but the Contractor will be expected to act as the supplier of future renewals.
The implementation services may include, but not be limited to, the following:
a) Performing a set of activities to assist WCB Technical Architect in the development of technical design;
b) Performing a set of activities associated with transforming design documents into a working technical environment;
c) Performing implementation, configuration, testing, and migration activities associated with the implementation of target state technologies; and
d) Defining standard operating procedures, technical and administration policies, standards, and procedures
The consulting services may include, but not be limited to, the following:
a) Ongoing assistance and expert advice to WCB staff with Cisco compute environment; and
b) Ongoing assistance and expert advice to WCB staff with Cisco networking environment for wide area networking (WAN), local area networking (LAN), and wireless local area networking (WLAN) post implementation.
The WCB expects the Contractor will be the WCB's primary supplier of CISCO hardware and software, as requested on an "as-needed basis" but the WCB makes no guarantee of any minimum quantity or that the WCB will exclusively use the Contractor.
The Services shall normally be performed during Business Hours. However, the WCB may request some of the Services to be performed outside Business Hours from time to time, as deemed necessary, in the unfettered discretion of the WCB. The Contractor shall not be entitled to charge overtime rates unless specified in the Fee Schedule.
The Contractor must be a Cisco Gold Certified organization.
The Proposal should include an overview of the proposed resource(s) being offered, including profiles of work which highlight their experience performing similar projects.
The Contractor will not be required to have and maintain workers compensation coverage for its workers who will be providing the Services, unless required pursuant to The Workers Compensation Act.
The Services shall be provided onsite at the WCB's facilities and from the Contractor's facilities located in Canada, as applicable, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
It is expected the Services will be required for an initial period of three (3) years with a preferred start date of January 23, 2023. The WCB shall have an irrevocable option to further extend the Services on the same terms and conditions and fees for one (1) additional period of up to two (2) years.
The Services will be structured with an Agreement that will require the parties to enter into subsequent Statements of Work (collectively the "SOWs").
The Services shall be requested by the WCB on an "as needed" basis and the WCB makes no representation to guarantee any minimum amount of work will be assigned to the Contractor via the SOWs. The parties shall mutually agree upon the distinct scopes of work for the Services, including the total fees, deliverables, and completion dates for same, in writing, via the SOWs, prior to commencing work on such new components.
