Description

The work to be done under this contract shall consist of routing, cleaning, and sealing with rubberized asphaltic compound cracks in Runway 13-31, and Apron I at The Pas Airport.

The major components of the work are as follows:

Runway/Apron Maintenance:

Surface cracks have been sorted into categories. Large cracks (>4cm wide), New cracks (1-3 cm wide), and corner seals (varying in size).
Large Cracks: 3288.6 m
New Cracks: 5399.4 m
Corner Seals: 60 instances noted on Apron I

Composition: Asphalt
Length: 5901 ft // 1,799m
Width: 150 ft // 45.72m

Apron I Information

Composition: Concrete
Length: 234.7m
Width: 60.9m

Crack Sealing:

Prepare areas to be sealed by sweeping and pressure wash asphalt of debris
Route and clean existing cracks
Seal cracks with rubberized asphaltic compound in accordance with Canadian Aviation Regulation standards.
Complete sealing during daylight hours (0930-1930) as to minimize disruption to scheduled aircraft, and Manitoba Government Air Service.
