This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Coordinating Entity to prospective proponents to submit proposals for mold and asbestos abatement services, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D) (the “Deliverables”). The Coordinating Entity, as identified on the cover page, is issuing this RFP and administering the RFP process on behalf of the Purchaser(s) identified in Section B – Material Disclosures of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D). The intent of this RFP is to select one primary Supplier for each group of sites (as detailed below and further described in Annex D) to provide mold and asbestos abatement services at the Purchaser’s request. Group 1 - Health Sciences Centre and CancerCare MB Group 2 - St. Boniface Hospital Group 3 - Community Hospitals and Health Centres Group 4 - Manitoba Adolescent Treatment Centre Group 5 - Corporate Offices, Programs, and Community Based Health Facilities Group 6 - Personal Care Homes Group 7 - Churchill Health Centre Group 8 - Southern Health-Santé-Sud (EAST) Group 9 - Southern Health-Santé-Sud (WEST) Group 10 - Prairie Mountain Health (NORTH) Group 11 - Prairie Mountain Health (SOUTH) The scope of this RFP includes services funded through regular operating and budgeted funds. Services that are funded by Manitoba Health and Seniors Care Safety & Security funding, insurance claims, projects using external funds (i.e. donations) that have specified restrictions, and Capital Planning projects may also fall under the scope of this RFP at the request of the Purchaser; however, the Purchaser reserves the right to use alternate suppliers or get competitive quotes. The term of the agreement is to be for a period of five (5) years, with an option in favour of the Purchaser to extend the agreement on the same terms and conditions for one (1) optional two (2) year term. A secondary supplier may be selected (the next high scoring proponent) per group that can be accessed if and when the primary Supplier cannot meet the Purchaser’s timelines. The Coordinating Entity may choose not to award a secondary supplier for one or more groups and no volume of work for the secondary supplier will be guaranteed.
