This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Coordinating Entity to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Fire Alarm Inspection & Testing Services and Fire Alarm Maintenance, Repair, & Programming Services, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D) (the “Deliverables”).
The Deliverables include:
Category 1 - Fire Alarm Inspection & Testing Services (as described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D) (“Category 1 Services”)
• Category 1 service providers do not have to be an authorized service provider of the manufacturer’s panel.
Category 2 - Fire Alarm Maintenance, Repair, & Programming Services (as described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D) (“Category 2 Services”)
• Please see Section D – Mandatory Technical Requirements of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D) for further details of the requirements of the proponents to be an authorized service provider of the panels.

The Coordinating Entity, as identified on the cover page, is issuing this RFP and administering the RFP process on behalf of the Purchaser(s) identified in Section B – Material Disclosures of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D), which require one (1) or both Categories for their identified delivery locations/sites (individually referred to as a “Delivery Location” and collectively as “Delivery Locations”). Please see Section B – Material Disclosures of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D) for further details about the Delivery Locations.
The Coordinating Entity has created groups that contain one (1) or more Delivery Locations that require the Category 1 Services and Category 2 Services (individually each referred to as a “Group” and collectively as “Groups”). Each Category will be awarded on the basis of its identified Groups. Please see the Award Strategy outlined in Section B – Material Disclosures of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D) for further details.
The term of the agreement is to be for a period of five (5) years (the “Initial Term”), with an option in favour of the Purchaser to extend the agreement on the same terms and conditions (except for permitted price increases) for one (1) optional two (2) year term (“Option Term”). Price increases may be permitted, see with Section 3 of Appendix C – Pricing.
