RFT 2023-15 - Tire Derivative Aggregate (TDA) Road Renewal - Anson St

SCOPE OF WORK
Specifications:
1. The project locations are on Anson St. & on Gimli Park Rd. west of PTH 8 in the Gimli Industrial Park. The work is broken down into two (2) projects. Each project has the following excavation dimensions:
a. Anson St. North Project Area:
i. Dimensions = 6.0 yards wide x 109.5 yards long x 1.33 yards (4 ft) deep = 873.8 excavated cubic yards for each project.
ii. The north project will require an estimated 547.3 yd3 of TDA shredded tire material.
iii. The RM has an estimated 760.5 cubic yards (yd3) of shred material piled beside Anson St. & Gimli Park Rd.
iv. The RM will need another 213.2 yd3 of shredded material to complete the 2nd 109.5 yard section that it will obtain from OTR Recycling.
b. Anson St. South Project Area:
i. Dimensions = 6.0 yards wide x 109.5 yards long x 1.33 yards (4 ft) deep = 873.8 excavated cubic yards for each project.
ii. The south project will require an estimated 547.3 yd3 of TDA shredded tire material. (109.5 x 6 x 0.33 = 547.3 yd3)
iii. The RM has an estimated 760.5 cubic yards (yd3) of shred material piled beside Anson St. & Gimli Park Rd.
iv. The RM will need another 213.2 yd3 of shredded material to complete the 2nd 109.5 yard section that it will obtain from OTR Recycling.
2. TDA Pile Location 1 - Adjacent to the corner of Gimli Park Rd & Anson St. The volume estimate = 448 yd3
a. Location 1 = 448 yd3 = 22.5 loads averaging 20 yd3 per load.
3. TDA Pile Location 2 – Is the long pile on Anson St. alongside the water filled creek/ditch near the airport runway. The volume estimate = 312.5 yd3
a. Location 2 = 312.5 yd3 = 15.6 loads at 20 yd3 per load.
4. On completion the project locations require a minimum of 15” of compacted TDA at the bottom of the excavation, covered with 27” of the excavated fill material topped with 6” of surface aggregate material.
