Description

The community of Moosehorn is located along Provincial Trunk Highway (PTH) 6, approximately 200 km north-west of the City of Winnipeg and 10 km east of Lake Manitoba. Over the past number of years, the community of Moosehorn has been subject to numerous flooding events. The source of the flooding events is from overland flooding from areas north and east of the community during the spring melt and excessive rainfall events. The slope of the land in the vicinity of Moosehorn is from the northeast to the southwest.

The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of Community Flood Protection System in the Town of Moosehorn, Manitoba. The major components of the Work are as follows:

(a) New Earthfill Dike Construction
(b) Storage Retention Excavation
(c) Concrete Head Wall Construction
(d) Culvert and Flood Gate Installation
(e) Site Revegetation
(f) Asphalt Resurfacing
