MB-2020-Gravelling - Call for Tenders - 2020 Road Gravelling

The R.M. of Oakview is accepting three separate sealed tenders for the loading and hauling of
gravel to be spread on municipal roads in the R. M. of Oakview by July 31st, 2020 and a separate sealed tender for loading and hauling to a stockpile in the fall of 2020. Material is to be applied on the roads in one main haul beginning immediately after road restrictions are lifted and completed by July 31st, 2020. A penalty of $1,000.00 per day may be charged after this date. In addition, there may be spot hauling continuing until October 31st, 2020.

Tender #1 – Roads in Ward 1(formerly Town of Rapid City) and Ward 2 (formerly R. M. of Saskatchewan) in the R. M. of Oakview. Approximate yardage will be 13,000 cubic yards with prices to be given on a per mile basis from mile one to mile twenty. Prices are to be given for loading and hauling crushed gravel from the following stockpiles:
1) Pit located on the N. E. ¼ of 27-13-19 W
2) Pit located on the N.W. ¼ of 13-13-20 W
3) Pit located on the S.W. ¼ of 30-12-20 W

Tender #2 – North part of Ward 3 (formerly R. M. of Blanshard) in the R. M. of Oakview which
comprises Road 82 North from Road 125 W to Road 132W and roads in Townships 15 Range 21 and 22 (map enclosed). Approximate yardage will be 10,000 cubic yards with prices to be given on a per mile basis from mile one to mile twenty. Prices are to be given for loading and hauling crushed gravel from the following stockpiles:
1) Municipal Stockpile located on Road Allowance 89N west of
PR #354 (127 W) in R.M. of Oakview (used first)
2) McIntyre Pit located on the NE ¼ of 30-17-21W (R.M. of Yellowhead)

Tender #3 – South part of Ward 3 (formerly R. M. of Blanshard) which comprises of roads South of 82
North and East of Road 125W to Road 120 W and roads in Townships 13 Range 21 and 22 and the
balance of Township 14 in Range 21 and 22 (map enclosed). Approximately yardage will
be 12,000 cubic yards with prices to be given on a per mile basis from mile one to mile twenty. Prices
are to be given for loading and hauling crushed gravel from the following stockpile:
1) Krahn Pit located on the SW ¼ of 30-12-20 W (R.M. of Riverdale)

Tender #4 – Haul to Stockpile in Ward 3 in fall of 2020 so minimal damage is done to municipal roads.
Tenders to load, haul, and stockpile approximately 8,500 cubic yards of crushed gravel from the
McIntyre Pit located in the NE ¼ 30-17-21 WPM in the R. M. of Yellowhead to the road allowance on
the SE ¼ of 35-15-22 W in the R. M. of Oakview in the fall of 2020, on the condition that gravel
crushing has been completed. Hauling of the gravel to the stockpile is to be completed by
December 15th, 2020.

Worker’s Compensation number is to be included with tender as well as proof that Workplace Safety and Health Standards are being met. Please complete the enclosed tender forms. Sealed tenders marked “Gravel Hauling Tender” will be received by the undersigned up to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25th, 2020. The municipality reserves the right to object to any or all tenders, to waive irregularities and informalities at their discretion and to accept the tender, which the municipality deems to be in their best interest. Lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.
