RRC Polytech will engage prime consultant(s) and their team of sub-consultants’ expertise to develop plans to renovate and rejuvenate several spaces within the Notre Dame Campus. RRC Polytech is looking to develop plans for standardizing our classrooms to meet the current and future needs for blended, active, and engaged learning. We also have a need to identify options to update vintage building stock by mitigating obsolete equipment, environmental liabilities and updating infrastructure in a sustainable way. RRC Polytech is looking to transform each of these areas into classrooms, labs, and project spaces. The plan is to update these areas by replacing flooring, ceiling, lighting, furnishings, AV, networking, as well as making the necessary changes to the electrical and mechanical to suit the new occupancy and layouts. The project spaces include the following, which RRC Polytech has broken down into smaller individual projects: Project 1 - A New Standard for Classrooms. Development of (2) New Classrooms - Building A – rooms include A-1-18, A1-16B, A-16A Project 2 – Exploration to Remediate - Development of (1) Classroom - Building B – rooms include B1-05, B1-05B, B1-05C, B1-05D, Mezzanine Room B1-07 Project 3 - Exploration to Remediate – Redevelopment and combining (4) rooms into (2) Classrooms - Building B – rooms include B1-12, B1-14, B1-15, B1-16 and B1-16B Project 4 – Exploration for Reuse – Demolition of existing space and proposal for how space could be used – Possible Maker lab Space for Students - Building B – rooms include B1-34, B1-34B, B1-34C and Mezzanine B1-34G and H.
