The objective of this Project is to complete the planning and design of BON’s 18,125 square foot Jordan’s Principle Building and associated works. The Scope of Work is presented in detail in the terms of reference. Within a Project Team environment, the Architectural Consultant (henceforth known as the “Architect”) shall provide design services to Brokenhead Ojibway Nation and will ensure that the Project is completed to the approved design, schedule and budget. The Architect will perform the work outlined in a substantial, cost-effective, complete and professional manner. The Architect must furnish everything necessary for undertaking the work and shall not omit any details necessary for its proper performance and completion, even if specific mention of such details is not made in these Terms of Reference. It is expected that the Architect shall employ scientifically defensible, appropriate and most reliable design practices. The Architect shall not submit, either directly or indirectly, a bid for a construction contract related to the Project.
The Architect shall provide information on how resources and time shall be allocated to the BON Jordan’s Principle Building project to meet an aggressive design schedule that will see tender ready documents by end of September of 2024. The intent is to tender and have main foundation in place before winter freeze-up.
