Poplar Hill First Nation is inviting bids from qualified contractors for the Waste Facility Construction and Decommissioning Project, Poplar Hill First Nation, Ontario.

The Community of Poplar Hill First Nation is in Northwestern Ontario located approximately 120 km North of Red Lake. Accessible by ice road during the winter and year round via air travel.
The scope of work for the project includes the construction of the community’s new Solid Waste Facility and associated works. The Project scope of work is summarized as follows:

Site preparation;
New Solid Waste Cell Earthworks
Installation of Monitoring wells
Existing Waste Sites cleanup and decommissioning
Supply and installation of structures and equipment
Scrap metal preparation, staging and haulage
Hazardous waste, tires and electronic preparation, staging and Haulage
Provisional works

A mandatory pre-tender site visit to Poplar Hill First Nation will be held on July 25th, 2019. Bidders are to notify the Contract Administrator no later than July 22th 10:00am (CST) prior to the site meeting of their intention to attend. One (1) seat per Contractor will be allotted on the Charter flight.

Each tender must be accompanied by a fully executed Bid Bond in the amount of at least ten percent (10%) of the Contract Price expressed as a percentage. The Bid Bond shall be issued by an approved surety company licensed to conduct business in Canada.
Each tender must be accompanied by an Agreement to Bond, stating that surety providing the Bid Bond is willing to supply a Performance Bond in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the Contract Price and a Labour and Material Bond in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the Contract Price.

MERX is the official and sole distributor of this Tender including any addenda. If a Bidder obtains the Tender Documents by means other than through MERX, the accuracy of the document and the receipt of any addenda, if applicable, are not guaranteed.

Tenders, as indicated in the tender documents, will be received from General Contractors at the office of Neegan Burnside Ltd. (address below) before 2:00:00 pm (CST) on Thursday, August 1, 2019. Late or misdirected bids will not be accepted.

Tenders will be publicly opened immediately after the time for receipt of Bids and read in the Boardroom of Neegan Burnside Ltd.,
The lowest or any bid will not necessarily be accepted.
