Water Treatment Plant and Distribution System Repairs, Wabaseemoong Independent Nations, Ontario

Neegan Burnside Ltd., on behalf of Wabaseemoong Independent Nations is inviting bids from qualified Contractors for the Water Treatment Plant and Distribution System Repairs Project, Wabaseemoong Independent Nations, Ontario.
The Community of Wabaseemoong Independent Nations is located along the north shore of One Man Lake, in White Dog ON, 65 km north of Kenora ON. The community is accessible year round via Highway 596 and 525 north of Kenora Bypass 17A.

The scope of work for the project includes the replacement / addition of the water treatment and distribution system equipment along with the associated electrical and control works, and minor building mechanical and civil work of the existing water treatment plant, pumphouse and water tower.

The scope of work includes but is not limited to the following:

Minor Building and Civil Works;
Building Mechanical Works;
Building Electrical Works
Process Mechanical Works;
Process Electrical and Control Works;
Decommissioning;
Waste equipment and materials disposal
Cash Allowance Items.
Provision of temporary water service to buildings during construction;
Restoration of areas effected by construction.

Each tender must be accompanied by a fully executed Bid Bond in the amount of at least ten percent (10%) of the Contract Price expressed as a percentage. The bid Bond shall be issued by an approved surety company licensed to conduct business in Canada.
Each tender must be accompanied by an Agreement to Bond, stating that surety providing the Bid Bond is willing to supply a Performance Bond in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the Contract Price and a Labour and Materials Bond in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the Contract Price.

MERX is the official and sole distributor of this Tender including any addenda. If a Bidder obtains the Tender Documents by means other than through MERX, the accuracy of the document and the receipt of any addenda, if applicable, are not guaranteed.
A non-mandatory, but recommended, site visit is scheduled on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at 1:00 PM CST during the tender period. Bidders will meet at the First Nation Administration offices.
Last date for the bidders inquiries is November 15, 2019.
Tenders, as indicated in the tender documents, will be received from General Contractors at the office of Neegan Burnside Ltd. (address below) before 3:00:00 pm (CST) on Friday, November 22, 2019. Late or misdirected bids will not be accepted.
Tenders will be publicly opened immediately after the time for receipt of Bids and read in the Boardroom of Neegan Burnside Ltd.,
The lowest or any bid will not necessarily be accepted.
