Wastewater Upgrades and Servicing Project

The Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation (MSIFN) is seeking bids from General Contractors for the supply and installation of a new wastewater collection system to service their community. MSIFN is located near Lake Scugog, approximately 10 km northeast of the Town of Port Perry in Durham Region, Ontario.

The Project Management Team (PMT) includes representatives of the Owner (MSIFN), the Professional Project Manager (FHR Inc.) and the Engineer and Contract Administrator (Neegan Burnside Ltd.).

The Project will include the following main works:

5,530 metres of sanitary sewers;
2,700 metres of sanitary sewer services;
70 precast concrete manholes;
2,800 metres of low pressure sanitary forcemains;
660 metres of low pressure sanitary forcemain services;
10 preselected prefabricated grinder pumping stations;
3 preselected prefabricated sewage pumping stations; and
Decommissioning of existing septic systems (provisional).

A mandatory pre-bid site meeting was held at 10:30 a.m. local time on Friday, October 22, 2021 (weather dependent – an addendum will be issued to confirm the date and time in advance of the meeting). Details regarding the meeting are provided in the Bid Documents.

A copy of the Bid Documents can be obtained from the MERX Distribution Unit, telephone 1‑800‑964‑6379 or via the internet at www.merx.com. MERX is the official and sole distributor of the Bid Documents including any addenda. If a Bidder obtains the Bid Documents by means other than through MERX, the accuracy of the document and the receipt of any addenda, if applicable, are not guaranteed.

Bids must be received at the address indicated in the Bid Document no later than 2:00 p.m. local time on Friday, November 12, 2021.

At the discretion of the PMT, the lowest Bid Price, or any Bid may not necessarily be accepted.
