TRANSCRIPTION SERVICES, AS DESCRIBED BELOW:
Workplace Safety and Health enforces The Workplace Safety and Health Act
and its three associated regulations in order to ensure Manitoba's
workplaces are safe and healthy. Inspection and investigation activity
focuses on improving legislative compliance in order to reduce workplace
fatalities, serious injuries and illnesses. Violations of workplace
safety and health laws may result in prosecution. Prosecution and
convictions are applied as behavior-changing tools to encourage safe
work practices. Following an investigation by Workplace Safety and
Health, reports may be forwarded to Manitoba Justice for review.
