Ontario ESTN lightweight trap net
Specifications:
-Net material: Black, 380/18 denier polypropylene, knotted.
-Mesh size: (stretch measure) leader and floor and ceiling of house and
heart = 6.4 cm (2.5"); remainder of head = 4.4 cm (1.75").
-Line material: Black polypropylene 3-strand twisted 9.5 mm (3/8")
diameter.
-Wooden brail: An eight foot dressed 2 x 4: 5 cm x 10 cm x 244 cm (1.5"
x 3.5" x 96")
-Metal brail: Steel pipe 3.2 cm x 244 cm (1.25" x 96").
-Floats: Black 23 cm x 6 cm (9" x 2 3/8") or equivalent with a buoyancy
of 482g (17 oz), or equivalent, spaced every 3 m (10') on leaders.
-Weights: Cylindrical lead weights of 250 g (8.8 oz) each spaced 0.9 m
(3") apart, or equivalent.
-Double selvedge lines of black polypropylene twine attached around
entire perimeter of the netting before attachment to the 9.5 mm
polypropylene lines.
-Double selvedge lines are to be attached to the black 9.5 mm
polypropylene lines with a minimum of three (3) hitches per mesh using
no less than #15 (380/21 denier) black treated nylon line, or
equivalent.
-Black 9.5 mm (3/8") polypropylene chafing lines are to be attached
across the entire bottom of the leader and the chafing lines are to be
attached to the 9.5 mm lines edging mesh with a minimum of three (3)
half hitches at every third mesh using no less than #15 (380/21 denier)
black treated nylon line, or equivalent.
-Wing and leader bridles, brails, brail lines, lift line and marker,
toggle ring (brail ring), and anchor lines are to be attached, and a
zipper installed at the house end of the crib, such that the net is
"ready to fish".

centre brace.
-The two vertical braces are connected by a vertical mesh wall.
-Rectangular frames are 0.6 m (2') apart with an inwards mesh trap from
the first to the second frame ending in a 102 mm (4") wide vertical slot
opening between the centre wall and the funnel wall.
-Five (5) 0.77 m (30") diameter, ¼" thick galvanized hoops spaced 0.6 m
(2') apart.
-Two (2) funnels. The first beginning on hoop one with the throat
situated at hoop two, and secured to hoop three. The second funnel
begins at hoop three, with the funnel situated at hoop four, and secured
to hoop five.

be cause for rejection of your quote by the Manitoba Government
