This Request for Quotation (RFQ) is seeking a qualified company to provide and install a racking system in accordance with certain specifications for a 150,000/sqf building at 193 Haggart, Winnipeg MB. (Reference:#1320)
The racking system required shall be a bolted style upright/reditrack style to compliment MDA’s existing racking system. The racking system proposed must have the ability to be comingled with MDA’s existing Konstant racking system. The comingling of any racking system to MDA’s current racking system must be approved by a certified Engineer authorized to make such statements.
The building to be racked is new construction consisting of 150,000/sqf of floor space; building drawings have been provided for reference; see appendix A. The address specific to this project is 193 Haggart, Winnipeg MB. (reference: #1320)
Racking will be required in 2 phases:
Phase 1 will require 120,000/sqf of building floor space to be racked in accordance with the Rack Plan Layout (Appendix B) and Rack Elevations Layout (Appendix C).
Rack Plan layout (appendix B) may require minimal changes to accommodate building dimensions, infrastructure, and door locations.
Phase 2 will consist of racking the remaining building floor space of approximately 30,000/sqf. Phase 2 is optional and if approved will commence within one year of Phase 1 being completed. Phase 2 racking specifications will be determined at a later date and MDA will work with the proponent to develop a floor plan.
Phase 2 is optional and MDA reserves the right to postpone or cancel this segment of the project.
Phase 1 and 2 Pricing must be shown on the provided Pricing Schedule.
Phase 2 pricing will be an agreement to provide materials and labour at the same rate as applied to Phase 1.
Phase 2 pricing for materials and labour shall be set at the same rate as phase 1 materials and labour:
Proponents shall provide detailed specifications for all racking components/fasteners as it relates to the Racking Specifications.
Proponents shall provide warranty/guarantee related to parts and labour.
Proponents shall provide anticipated project timelines including/ lead time/bench marks/target dates/completion dates.
Successful proponent will work with MDA to finalize Rack Plan layout and provide architectural drawings satisfactory to MDA.
