29407 - Provision of Auctioneering Services

Sheriff Services Civil Enforcement enforces court orders and as a result requires the services of an auctioneer to liquidate seized property.  The auctioneer services are also required to store, repair and move vehicles, provide appraisal services, advertising and any other services required to maximize the value of the property to be auctioned.
The auctioneer service is required to have the ability to secure a location for auction off-site i.e.  allowing sale to take place on landlord’s property.  These sales would take place outside of regular auction dates and times.-
The volume of property to be auctioned will vary from month to month.  Over the last couple of years, the services have been required as follows:

• Storage/vehicle – approximately two (2) per month on average.
• Moving company services – approximately one (1) to three (3) times per year.
• Auction services – approximately two (2) times per month.
• Mechanical services – approximately one (1) to two (2) times per year.
