Description

Hamiota Municipality is calling for proposals to rehabilitate certain municipal roads between May and Aug 31, 2022 as follows:

Road Preparations
- Perform all works necessary to prepare the roads for the spread and compaction of gravel listed below.
- May include but is not limited to the following activities:
  - Sloping
  - Shaping
  - Mulching
  - Mowing
Gravelling
- To spread approximately 80,000 cubic yards of A Base Traffic Gravel on the Rural Truck Routes in Hamiota Municipality transported from a stockpile located at SW ¼ 8-14-22 WPM (behind cemetery).
  - 67 miles receiving approximately 1,200 cubic yards per mile as per the attached Truck Route Map.
Finishing
- Perform all works necessary to complete the road rehabilitation process.
- May include but is not limited to the following activities:
  - Packing
  - Grading
  - Dust control
  - Sloping
  - Shaping

Target road specifications for Level 1 rural roads: 25 feet wide, 4% crown slope, 3:1 shoulder.

Alterations made to road should not exceed 25% from existing conditions.
Roads were surveyed in 2020. See accompanying road profiles.
- 8 miles were reshaped in 2021:
  - Rd 140W from PTH 24 to PR 469,
  - Rd 74N from PTH 21 to Rd 132W.
- Updated profiles will be provided when available.

Bids should include:

List of equipment to be used
Proposed timeline for each project component
Unit and total cost for each project component
Traffic plan & communications strategy
