D2. SCOPE OF WORK
D2.1 The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of the supply and install of new LED electronic scoreboards at various City of Winnipeg indoor arenas (Century Arena – 1377Clarence Avenue; Billy Mosienko Arena – 709 Keewatin Street; Terry Sawchuk Arena – 901 Kimberly Avenue).
D2.2 The major components of the Work are as follows:
(a) Staging the work area required for the electronic LED hockey scoreboards, scaffolding, lift devices, etc. into the buildings. The Contractor shall work with the Contract Administrator and Municipal Accommodations Division for material storage, equipment or other necessary purpose related to the Work.
(b) Coordinate the removal of the existing hockey scoreboards and turn over to City of Winnipeg once removed. Disconnect the existing power and data terminations at the scoreboards.
(c) Installation of three (3) new electronic LED hockey scoreboards with anchorage.
(d) Ensure that the new electronic scoreboard mounted on the existing walls meets all structural and electrical specifications and requirements.
(e) All Shop Drawings and structural design loads must be certified and stamped by a professional engineer licensed in the Province of Manitoba hired by the Contractor.
(f) Supply and installation of wired, microprocessors based operator’s control centers/consoles and other accessories for complete functional installation.
(g) Contractor shall be responsible for providing their own debris bins and storages containers with lockable covers on Site.
(h) Contractor shall be responsible to make good to surfaces damaged or affected by the removal and installation of electronic LED scoreboards and related incidentals.
(i) Provide commissioning and on-site training sessions to City of Winnipeg arena staff on the operation and maintenance of the three (3) new electronic LED scoreboards.
(j) Provide additional 1-year preventative maintenance service upon expiration of 1-year warranty period.

B3.1 Further to C3.1, the Contract Administrator or an authorized representative will be available at the Century Arena located at 1377 Clarence Avenue on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at 9:00 a.m.; Billy Mosienko Arena located at 709 Keewatin Street at 11:00 a.m.; and Terry Sawchuk Memorial Arena located at 901 Kimberly Avenue at 1:00 p.m., to provide Bidders access to the Sites.
B3.2 The Bidder is advised that attendance at the sites are strongly recommended to review the existing building conditions in order to evaluate the scope of Work that is required.
B3.3 The Bidder shall not be entitled to rely on any information or interpretation received at the Site investigation unless that information or interpretation is the Bidder’s direct observation, or is provided by the Contract Administrator in writing.
B3.4 The Bidder is responsible for inspecting the Site, the nature of the Work to be done and all conditions that might affect their Bid or their performance of the Work, and shall assume all risk for conditions existing or arising in the course of the Work which have been or could have been determined through such inspection.
