2019-01 - INVITATION TO TENDER FOR SECURITY SERVICES

OVERVIEW
The CMHR requires a qualified and capable Security Service Provider to provide security guard services while meeting our unique needs.

The Museum is committed to providing an engaging and respectful environment that promotes a safe visitation experience through quality standards acceptable to its visitors, building occupants, and employees.

The Museum will expect a high level of accountability through communication and reporting from the contractor in delivering a pro-active approach as opposed to a reactive one, with guidance from the protection services security team and routine management reviews by the CMHR.
Contract term
The Contract will be effective September 1, 2019 and will be set as a three (3) year term plus up to two (2) optional two (2) year extensions. Extensions may be exercised at the sole judgement of the Museum. Extensions will only be exercised upon successful delivery of services in accordance with the CMHR Service Quality Program (SQP) which is found at https://humanrights.ca/about/supplier-information#section-Service-Quality-Program for review, and if meeting all requirements in carrying out the Work.

Pricing for optional extensions will be based on the last year of the current Term, unless either party has requested a price negotiation in writing 30 days prior to current Term end date. Significant changes to percentage mark-up compared to the original bid will not be accepted without reasonable justification.
Objective
The Museum stakes its reputation on the quality of their visitors' experience. Maintaining a superior standard of safety at the facility is critical to continued success. Accordingly, the Contractor must provide the highest level of Service to ensure superior security services are maintained throughout all museum guard position deployments.
