The purpose of this RSP is an invitation to interested parties to replace this dark fibre line with a managed service that will provide connection from Brandon University and its partners to Winnipeg. Brandon University is looking for a long-term lease (minimum 15 years indefeasible right to use (IRU)) for managed connectivity services between Brandon University (270 18th Street, Brandon MB) and MRNet point of presence at University of Manitoba Fort Garry Campus (66 Chancellors Circle, Winnipeg MB). Ideally, we will avoid use of last-mile fibre links, managed by third parties. Specific termination demarcations on each campus will need to be negotiated, ensuring physical redundancy.
Brandon University and their partners will supply and operate network switching and routing equipment required to make the service function for our needs.
Please be advised the Brandon University is under no obligation to proceed with this project after receiving and reviewing responses, and that under no circumstances will any Supplier or respondent receive payment of any kind for submitting information in response to this RFP.
