PO LAV RO 2021 1 - Roof Replacement

Sealed tenders will be received at the office of Prairie Architects Inc. at Unit 101-
139 Market Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3B OP5, T: 204-956-0938, for the
LaVerendrye School Roof Replacement, Tuesday, February 1, 2022, before 3:00
PM Central Standard Time.
This project is located at the LaVerendrye School, 500 7th Avenue NW, Portage la
Prairie, MB., and consists of the following work:
• Replacement of sections of the existing roof with new modified-bitumen
roofing system
• Removal and reinstallation of existing rooftop Mechanical equipment and
devices, to accommodate the new roof assembly
• Provision of new drains at existing drain locations, to tie into existing internal
drainage piping
• Modification and addition to exterior metal cladding and brick veneer to
accommodate the new roofing assembly
• Modification to one existing rooftop access door opening, and provision of
new insulated metal door and frame
• Provision of a new rooftop ladder, and perimeter fall protection
• Ceiling and interior work as required to accommodate the work.
A mandatory site visit for bidding General and Roofing Contractors will take place on
Thursday, January 19, 2022, at 4:00 PM.
Estimated Project Budget is $1.88 million. Tender documents will be available at
Winnipeg Construction Association, Construction Association of Rural Manitoba
(CARM), and MERX starting Tuesday, January 11, 2022.
The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
