Description

In order to assess Manitoba’s’ readiness to compete in the emerging critical mineral market, Natural Resources and Northern Development requires policy assistance in reviewing a number of regulatory regimes, best management practices and fee and
royalty structures.The scope includes complete jurisdictional scans of regulatory regimes in at least three of the following jurisdictions; Saskatchewan, Ontario, Alberta, British Colombia, and North Dakota for the following resources in order of priority: potash,
silica sand, brines, helium and pore space uses and commodities; and also how at
least three of these jurisdictions regulate and define mineral exploration bulk sampling, as well as missing royalty owners.
