Description

Environment, Climate, and Parks operates a solid waste and recycling transfer station
at Shallow Lake in the Duck Mountain Provincial Park. This facility is referred to as the
South Duck Transfer Station. Environment, Climate, and Parks also operates a solid
waste burial and recycle collection facility at Wellman Lake, also located in the Duck
Mountain Provincial Park; this site is referred to as the Wellman Lake Waste Disposal
Ground. Pick up and disposal services of full waste containers from the South Duck
Transfer Station are required. Pick Up and delivery services of full containers are also
required for co-mingled (mixed) Recyclable materials from both the South Duck
Transfer Station and the Wellman Lake Refuse Facility. The contractor will be
responsible to deliver full containers of waste and/or recyclable materials to an
appropriately permitted recycle facility and/or waste disposal ground located outside of
the Duck Mountain Provincial Park.
