Description

Natural Resources and Northern Development requires a review
of the petroleum fiscal regime in order to simplify oil and gas freehold production
taxes and Crown royalty structures. A consultant will be engaged to provide
analysis and advice to the Department that considers optimizing the use of existing
reporting tools such as Petrinex and an automatic tax calculator, competitiveness
with neighboring jurisdictions, increasing transparency for government and
stakeholders, removing unnecessary regulatory requirements and mitigating any
negative impact on provincial revenues.
