ARD#C019-2020/21 - Monthly mowing and maintenance at Proven Lake Wildlife Management Area

Agriculture and Resource Development requires ongoing mowing of an interpretive trail, parking area and interpretive signage area at Proven Lake Wildlife Management Area. The trail shall be mowed approximately 6 times from June 1 to September 1. The trail mowing will only need to occur one time in 2020, given the current date. The trail is 3.2 km long and 2.5 metres wide. It traverses gently rolling terrain and runs partially along a dike system on the lake. The vegetation to mow is a mix of herbaceous plants and medium shrubs (primarily willow) that are encroaching onto the trail. Care must be taken to avoid damaging the signage along the trail. Other small repair jobs may also be included in the contract like filling small potholes along the trail, clearing deadfall off of trail.
