Marine Atlantic Inc. (MAI) invites offers from qualified Vendors for the PA Tower Demolition in Port aux Basques, NL.

The project is located at the Marine Atlantic Ferry Terminal site in Port aux Basques, Newfoundland.

The Work generally includes, but it is not necessarily limited to, the demolition of the PA Tower and its concrete support base with additional civil works for the remediation of the existing base.

More particularly the work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following:

Demolition of the existing PA Tower including but not limited to all structural components such as the ladders, handrails, grating, bracing, beams and columns; as shown on drawings.

Cut and removal of existing bollards and concrete piers, as shown on drawings.

Reinstate existing base with concrete slab on grade, as shown on drawings.

Traffic Control and coordination with the Owner and other Contractors on site as required to maintain access to the ferries and adequate space for vehicles.

Marine Atlantic reserves the right to accept tenders in whole or in part. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.

A site visit will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022 at 9:00 AM Atlantic, (9:30 AM Newfoundland) Time at the site in Port aux Basques, Newfoundland.

The closing for receipt of tenders will be 1400 hours Atlantic Time, February 15, 2022.

Proposals must be submitted by electronic means using the MERX EBS.

This will be the only method of response accepted for consideration. Proposals will not be considered if submitted by fax, email or other open forms of communication. Proposals must be received by the closing date and hour. Late Proposals will not be considered.

Marine Atlantique Inc. (MAI) invite les fournisseurs qualifiés à soumissionner pour la démolition de la tour PA à Port aux Basques, Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador.

Le projet est situé au terminal du traversier de Marine Atlantique à Port aux Basques, à Terre-Neuve.

Les travaux comprennent généralement, sans s’y limiter nécessairement, la démolition de la tour PA et sa base de support en béton avec des travaux de génie civil supplémentaires pour la restauration de la base existante.

Plus précisément, les travaux comprennent principalement, sans toutefois s’y limiter, ce qui suit :

la démolition de la tour PA existante, y compris, sans toutefois s’y limiter, tous les éléments de structure tels que les échelles, les rampes, le caillebotis, le contreventement, les poutres et les colonnes, comme le montrent les dessins;

couper et enlever les bollards et les piles de béton existants, comme le montrent les dessins;

réinstaller la base existante avec une dalle de béton sur le sol, comme le montrent les dessins;

le contrôle et la coordination de la circulation avec le propriétaire et les autres entrepreneurs sur place, au besoin, afin de maintenir l’accès aux traversiers et un espace adéquat pour les véhicules.

Marine Atlantique se réserve le droit d’accepter les soumissions dans leur totalité ou en partie. La soumission au plus faible coût ou n’importe quelle soumission ne sera pas nécessairement acceptée.

Une visite du site aura lieu le lundi 7 février 2022 à 9 h heure de l’Atlantique (9 h 30 heure de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador) sur le site de Port aux Basques, à Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador.

La date de clôture pour la réception des soumissions est le 15 février 2022 à 14 h, heure de l’Atlantique.

Les propositions doivent être soumises par voie électronique à l’aide du système de soumissions par voie électronique (EBS) de MERX.

Seules les réponses soumises de cette manière seront prises en compte. Les propositions ne seront pas prises en compte si elles sont envoyées par télécopieur, par courriel ou par d’autres moyens de communication ouverts. Les propositions doivent être reçues au plus tard à la date et à l’heure de clôture. Les propositions tardives ne seront pas prises en compte.

Tender Submission
.1 A complete tender is comprised of the following:
a) Section 00 41 13 – Tender Form and Section 00 42 00 –
Supplementary Tender Information in its entirety, with all
pages and spaces for entry of information by Tenderers filled
in as instructed.
b) Acknowledgement of Addenda received by the Tenderer during the
Tendering period.
C) An initial deposit (refer to Clause 6 herein).
d) A copy of Tenderer's current and valid Certificate of
Recognition (COR) Program, Letter of Good Standing, issued by
Newfoundland and Labrador Construction Association.
e) A copy of valid Clearance Letter, issued by Workplace Health,
Safety and Compensation Commission of Newfoundland and
Labrador.
