NSY Alternate Dock Upgrades
Marine Atlantic Inc. (MAI) invites offers from qualified Vendors for the NSY Alternate Dock Upgrades.
The project is located at the Marine Atlantic Ferry Terminal site in North Sydney, Nova Scotia. Specifically the Alternate Dock.
The Work generally includes, but it is not necessarily limited to:
General:
• Excavation and backfilling to the grades and elevations indicated and/or as required to complete the full project requirements and intended scope.
• Asphalt cutting and removal in all areas effected by project or specified.
• Any and all removals, demolition and modifications to the existing dock structure including but not limited to reinforced concrete slabs, copewall, buttress and caissons.
• Removal/reinstatement/modifications/relocation of existing secondary dock systems\structures necessary to complete the work of this contract, including but not limited to stairs, guardrails, landings, etc.
• Reinforced concrete, reinforcing steel, dowels, epoxy grout, anchors, sleeves and concrete preparation required to reinforce the dock as specified for future fender installation.
• New steel stair and landing to access Moorex unit#1 controls, existing wood stair and steel landing to be removed.
Electrical:
• Temporary removal and reinstatement of electrical services effected by the completion of the project, including sleeving at new and existing concrete locations to allow installation of electrical runs.
• Any and all modifications required by the completion of the project.
Water Supply:
• Temporary removal and reinstatement of water services/stations effected by the completion of the project, including sleeving at new and existing concrete locations to allow installation of water lines.
• Any and all modifications required by the completion of the project.
Marine Atlantic reserves the right to accept tenders in whole or in part. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
A site visit will be held on October 19, 2017 at 10:00 AM Atlantic time at the site in North Sydney, NS.
The closing for receipt of tenders will be 2:00 PM Atlantic Time, November 1, 2017.
Proposals must be submitted by electronic means using the MERX EBS.
This will be the only method of response accepted for consideration. Proposals will not be considered if submitted by fax, email or other open forms of communication. Proposals must be received by the closing date and hour. Late Proposals will not be considered.
