Lumenus is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to complete an Active Directory Migration and Consolidation Project. This is a technology upgrade for all users to have a single lumenus.ca login with access to all consolidated Active Directory resources. This project will include all installation, configuration, any additional software or licensing, if required, and post-project support services for a period of 60 days.
The scope of services will include, but not be limited to; all Lumenus users at all locations, including its remote work force are to be fully and transparently integrated with a single lumenus.ca domain login. This includes configuring all user accounts, groups, Group Policies, devices, and resources to be fully accessible in one, single lumenus.ca domain. All computers will be cloud-hybrid within Azure and fully integrated with the Microsoft Office 365 environment. Trusts between the domains must be tested and validated, along with DNS resolution. The process for adding new user accounts must be provided, allowing the new hire access to files as per their job profile. A migration of existing user profiles on computers and legacy remote desktop servers must be included
All costs must be identified as capital, one-time expenditures, or annual recurring, operational expenses.
A summary of the most important requirements is:
- Ability to keep same legacy resources such as all user accounts, groups, Group Policies, devices, and resources and have them migrated same and intact to the one, single lumenus.ca domain.
- all Lumenus locations and users are fully integrated with a single login user id and password with common file sharing, and access to all resources with an availability of greater than 98%.
- A well-devised and documented implementation plan, with major milestones identified.
- By October 31, 2022, Lumenus requires a fully integrated and secure cloud-hybrid solution.
- This solution must be fully functional, fully supportable and a user-friendly desktop computing environment.
- All resources and devices, including desktop computing endpoints, software, firmware, and Operating System must be manageable by Lumenus ICT.
- A defined single point of contact for ALL issues, extending throughout the project and for 60 days past the final implementation date.
Lumenus recognizes that estimating the time to complete this project may require more effort than actually completing the project. Lumenus will accept an hourly rate, broken out on a weekly schedule, allowing for time and material billing. However, the submitted proposal must have a named, identifiable cap on capital expenditures, while ensuring the above scope will be fully met within the agreed upon timelines.
At the completion of the Project, the Operational handoff will require (as applicable):
- All application administrator (full control) passwords, for any software purchased, with licensing details and proof of purchase
- All hardware and software transferred to Lumenus as the owner
- Verification of the backup and restore process, ensuring business continuity for critical ICT Services.
- Identification of any change to the storage of Personally Identifiable Data (PID), which would not comply with PHIPPA regulations (if any)
We also ask for the proposal to include as an addendum, as a separate recommendation, for a cost-effective, secure, forward-thinking remote access solution. Lumenus will require remote access to local servers at any of the four (4) legacy division’s Data Centre for the near term (up to 3-5 years). Budgetary costs for 600 users are required, identified as capital and/or recurring, operational expenses.
